Process & Procedures

• These 3 short modules provide an overview to a new Project within a firm, a short IT applications skill and then a test to review understanding of the previous 2 modules.

IT applications

• Video: Producing a bill

This is a short module outlining the services Ad Alta offers, moving on to a short training skill for a Time & Billing application. The courseware has been developed using Captivate and demonstrates a simulation of a business process using a ‘show and tell’ training style. We have used text boxes to explain how the process works and the interactions are demonstrated to the user.  The look and feel and style of courseware is determined in consultation with our clients.

Create a chart

• This skill demonstrates how online learning can help train users on MS Office; in this instance how to create a chart in Excel.

Induction training

• This is an example of a generic but customisable course developed using Articulate. The interactive online course has been designed to introduce new support staff who have not previously worked in the legal sector.

An excellent product which uses a very simple format to educate business support staff in the complex terminology, jargon, structures and principles of the Law.  All this information is out there already, but Ad Alta have brought it together in one place.  It’s a huge benefit to us that it can be done in the person’s own time, at their desk, and within days of joining.

K M & Research Tools

• This course demonstrates how different training techniques can be brought together into one programme. The course can be used at Induction to introduce trainees to knowledge management professionals and roles and the relevant research resource tools. Bringing together video scenarios/case studies for best practice training, links to supporting documentation, PowerPoint slides for discussion/workshop sessions, true simulation IT applications training in a choice of try me/show me modes for training and future just-in-time refresher training.
